Vintage Gillette Slim H 2 1962 Boxed With Blades And Printed InstructionsThe Vintage Gillette Slim Adjustable Safety Razor should not be confused with the Gillette Fatboy as often happens on other websites.It was a Gillette Slim Adjustable Safety Razor that was used by James Bond in the 1964 movie Goldfinger. Like the Fatboy, the Slim is an adjustable safety razor with settings 1 - 9 so you get the shave you want - non aggressive - to aggressive every time.I use my Slim on setting 3 and it gives me a close comfortable shave, what amazes me is the smoothness of the shave - no drag, no pulling just a very easy going yet close shave.Stamped 'MADE IN USA' 'H 2' 'Reg US PAT OFF'. The H 2 is coding, H tells us the razor was made in 1962 and 2 means the razor was made in the second quarter of that year.This razor works perfectly, the adjustment mechanism clicks reassuringly into place, the Twist to Open (TTO) doors open and close exactly as they should.The black paint that highlights the adjusting numbers is fully intact.The razor head has a nice shiny look to it.The handle is in a remarkable condition, no dents, no scratches except for a tiny bit of plating loss.70 g in weight, the handle is 80 mm long all of which provide the perfect dimensions for a well balanced razor that will give you a close yet comfortable shave.This slim comes in its original plastic case which is in fantastic condition, bright and clear and almost scratch free.
